MILWAUKEE, Wis., Aug 1, 2025 —The Midwest Association of Independent Inns (MWInns) is pleased to announce an exciting new chapter in its history. Effective August 1, MWInns and the Michigan Bed and Breakfast Association (MBBA) have officially merged, bringing together two respected organizations under one united mission: to elevate and support independent lodging throughout the Midwest.
This merger represents a strategic move toward regional growth and collaboration, expanding resources and opportunities for all members. Together, MWInns and MBBA form a larger, more powerful network of innkeepers, one that strengthens the voice of independent hospitality and fosters shared success.
“We’re thrilled to welcome MBBA members into the MWInns family,” said Chris Cochran, President of MWInns. “By coming together, we’re not just combining associations, we’re creating new possibilities for connection, learning, and impact across state lines.”
The newly merged organization will be managed in partnership with Wisconsin Association Management (WAM), a full-service association management firm with expertise in marketing, education, finance, legal compliance, and member services. WAM’s experienced team is already working closely with MWInns leadership to ensure a seamless transition and deliver even more value to members.
“Our partnership with WAM positions us for long-term strength and sustainability,” said Cochran. “Their member-focused approach aligns perfectly with our values and vision for the future.”
